Hello brother and sisters of South Carolina, and Greetings from this chilly February day. I just wanted to give you an update on the latest meetings with Congresswoman Mace. I was able to meet with her office in late summer of 2025. The meeting was beneficial as far as lettcarriers getting our message across. Her office and I made a handshake agreement, to meet in late fall.

The political landscape has changed since that hot summer day. Congresswoman Mace has decided to run for Governor of South Carolina, and so I have shifted our focus to the candidates running for the house seat in district 1. I will start reaching out to their campaigns and try to start getting together a fact sheet for letter carriers. I know one of the candidates personally, Jenny Honeycut.

I look forward to seeing everyone in Greenville for our State Convention and will hopefully have an update about the candidates and their positions regarding letter carriers and the Postal Service.

Welcome to the fall season South Carolina letter carriers. It has been a long hot summer, and I'm looking forward to some jacket weather.

Not only is it fall season but it's also election season, both Nationally for our Country, but also for our union. Please vote in the election, make your voice heard. In this critical time, we need experienced people in all elected offices. There are jobs, safety, financial security, and our union rights are all at stake.

I have reached out to all candidates in the national election for District 1 as well as the South Carolina senate seat. I have heard back from Nancy Lacore, and her campaign has stated she supports letter carriers and will support bills that benefit letter carriers.

Nancy Mace called me during the summer and said she would support the Protect our Letter Carriers Act. I do have her cell phone number and will be reaching back with Nancy Mace to sure up her support.

Thank you letter carriers and delegates for trusting me with this very important duty of representing you for District 1.

Fall route counts are wrapping up, but don't forget if your route is over for more than 30 minutes on at least 3 days per week over 6 consecutive weeks, then you will qualify for a 271 G special route count. Get with your steward to help with the request.

Fall training is November 13-15 at the Hilton garden Inn Columbia airport. I look forward to seeing everybody there.
